Based on the speech content released in advance by the UK Treasury, Reeves will outline the economic vision for the coming years in the annual Mais Lecture on Tuesday, highlighting artificial intelligence, regional development, and closer ties with the EU as the most significant growth opportunities. Ahead of Reeves' speech, the government announced £2.5 billion in funding for artificial intelligence and quantum computing, including £1 billion for the procurement of commercial-scale quantum computers.
