SPAIN’S SÁNCHEZ SAYS TRUMP IRAN WAR UNDERMINES GLOBAL ORDER Pedro Sánchez accused Donald Trump of weakening the international order by launching a unilateral war with Iran without consulting allies. The Spanish prime minister said the conflict risks damaging the global system and warned that policies from Washington could erode welfare systems and hurt middle- and working-class citizens. Tensions between Spain and the U.S. have also grown over defense spending and the war. Madrid has refused to meet a proposed 5% of GDP NATO defense target and blocked the use of Spanish bases for operations linked to the Iran conflict.
