Tencent Lobster Team Public Q&A: The popularity surpasses the ability, but Lobster is the first step for ordinary people to embrace AI On March 16th, according to a report by 36Kr, Tencent's "Lobster Special Attack Team" recently accepted media interviews and responded to many questions about its AI Agent product matrix from the outside world. Tencent has launched multiple "lobster" products around the open-source framework OpenClaw, including WorkBuddy, QClaw, Lighthouse, SkillHub, etc. CEO Pony Ma revealed that he will also launch a series of products including self-developed lobster, local shrimp, cloud shrimp, and enterprise shrimp in the future. Ding Ning, the head of AI products for Tencent Cloud developers, stated that WorkBuddy is a closed source product with built-in sandbox mechanism and multiple security defenses. It only applies to user specified folders and can effectively avoid risks such as API key leakage. Zhong Yucheng, Director of Tencent Lightweight Cloud, admitted that the popularity of Lobster is indeed higher than its actual ability, and it is currently impossible to achieve a "one person company". However, for non-technical users, Lobster is still the lowest threshold for experiencing AI changes. Previously, Tencent's offline event "Setting up a stall to help load shrimp" held under the headquarters building unexpectedly became popular, helping more than 500 people complete the installation in a single day. The event attracted various groups of people such as retired engineers over 60 years old and mothers pushing baby strollers, with about 80% of them being non-technical background users.
