[X Product Manager Responds to Erroneous User Bans: Issue Resolved, 99% of Banned Accounts Restored]
Reported by Jinse Finance, in response to community concerns about X platform's unjust banning of numerous legitimate users, X Product Manager and Solana Advisor Nikita Bier issued a statement explaining that the issue was primarily caused by errors in the newly launched spam filtering system. Approximately 99% of the mistakenly banned accounts have been restored.
Within about 12 hours, the new anti-spam filter erroneously flagged some normal accounts as spam accounts, causing a small number of users to temporarily lose access to their accounts. As AI technology continues to advance, spam has become one of the biggest risks faced by the platform. X platform is continuously increasing investment in and upgrading its anti-spam tools. While the system generally maintains a high level of accuracy in identification, this vulnerability led to a brief loss of access for a small portion of users.
