According to News1, South Korea's financial regulatory agency FIU will hold a sanctions review meeting on March 16 to discuss penalties against Bithumb for allegedly violating the Specific Financial Information Act. Previously, FIU had announced measures including a 6-month partial business suspension and executive accountability. The market expects the fine could exceed Upbit's approximately 35.2 billion KRW fine last year, potentially reaching around 37 billion KRW.
