[UK Media: Middle East War Diverts U.S. Attention, Ukraine Peace Talks Stalled] According to a report by Golden Finance on March 15, citing the Financial Times and European officials, the U.S.-led Ukraine peace process is fading away as Trump loses interest in negotiations and his focus on the war with Iran eases pressure on Russia. Four EU diplomats involved in talks with Ukraine stated that the Middle East conflict has shifted Washington's attention away from the peace agreement. Meanwhile, diplomats noted that rising oil prices, the suspension of U.S. sanctions, and the rapid depletion of U.S. ammunition needed by Kyiv have benefited Russia. A senior European official remarked that negotiations between U.S.-mediated Ukrainian and Russian officials are "indeed in a dangerous zone." Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov previously stated: "Negotiations have indeed paused. The Americans have other priorities, which is understandable." The last trilateral peace talks were held in Geneva from February 17 to 18. A new round of talks originally scheduled for March 5 in Abu Dhabi was postponed due to U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran, with no new date or location announced yet.
