[Galaxy Research Director: If the CLARITY Act is not reviewed by the committee before the end of April, the likelihood of it passing this year is extremely low] Galaxy Research Director Alex Thorn analyzed in an article that if the CLARITY Act fails to pass committee review by the end of April, the chances of it being passed by 2026 will become extremely slim. The bill needs to be added to the Senate's full voting agenda by early May. It is widely believed that the controversy surrounding stablecoin rewards is the main reason for the CLARITY Act's obstruction. However, even if a compromise is reached on the rewards issue, there are likely to be other obstacles: such as DeFi, developer protections, the authority of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and even 'ethical' issues.
