The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has filed a joint motion with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York to formally dismiss the civil fraud lawsuit against Nader Al-Naji with prejudice. This means the regulator cannot bring the same charges again. The case was initially filed in July 2024, with the SEC accusing Al-Naji of raising over $257 million through the unregistered sale of BitClout platform tokens (BTCLT) and alleging that he used more than $7 million of investor funds for personal expenses.
