CZ: Block explorers should filter spam transactions to prevent address poisoning attacks CZ posted, calling for block explorers to directly filter spam transactions instead of displaying them to users, in order to reduce the risk of address poisoning attacks. He pointed out that filtering such transactions is technically feasible, and wallets like Trust Wallet already have this functionality. As for concerns that filtering mechanisms might affect future micropayments between AI agents, CZ believes that AI technology can also be used to identify and distinguish spam transactions when the time comes. Previously, Etherscan warned that address poisoning attacks on Ethereum are becoming increasingly automated and widespread—attackers often forge wallet addresses that closely resemble real ones to trick users into transferring funds by mistake.
