[Michael Saylor Refutes Former UK Prime Minister's Claim That 'Bitcoin is a Ponzi Scheme': BTC Has No Issuer and is Decentralized]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson posted on the X platform expressing his long-standing suspicion that Bitcoin is a 'massive Ponzi scheme.' He mentioned that some recent cases of investment losses have made him even more concerned that this judgment might be correct. In response, Michael Saylor, founder and CEO of MicroStrategy, a Bitcoin treasury company, stated that he disagrees with this view. He pointed out that Ponzi schemes typically require a centralized operator to promise returns and use funds from later investors to pay earlier investors. However, Bitcoin has no issuer or promoter, offers no guaranteed returns, and is merely an open, decentralized monetary network driven by code and market demand.
