[Story Protocol Developer PIP Labs Lays Off About 10%, Shifts Focus to AI-Related IP Infrastructure]
According to Deep Tide TechFlow on March 14, as reported by Decrypt, PIP Labs, the developer behind Story Protocol, has laid off several employees and contractors, including 5 full-time employees and 3 contractors, accounting for approximately 10% of the total workforce of Story-related entities. Those affected include the Story Foundation and the infrastructure layer Poseidon. Story's Chief Protocol Officer Andrea Muttoni stated that PIP Labs is making slight personnel adjustments to focus on core directions, emphasizing AI-oriented intellectual property infrastructure, which includes AI training data and AI agent-related businesses. Since its launch, Story's native token IP has dropped approximately 86%, currently priced at around $0.80.
