GOLDMAN RAISES BRENT FORECAST ABOVE $100 AMID HORMUZ CRISIS
Goldman Sachs now expects Brent crude to average over $100 a barrel in March and $85 in April due to the Iran war and disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz.
Brent futures briefly hit $119.50 recently, the highest since mid-2022. Goldman predicts prices may ease to the low $70s later this year but warns prolonged disruptions could push fourth-quarter Brent to $93 a barrel, up from a previous $71 forecast.(*Walter Bloomberg)
