Is 2026 Next After 9/11, 2008, 2022? Bitcoin Slides - This year may be shaping up like some combination of 2001, 2008 and 2022, with similar risk-asset-reversion implications. Crude oil's spike to its $147-a-barrel peak in 2008 accelerated the Great Recession, and the 9/11 attacks had similar economic and risk-asset headwinds.
