[US ITC Overturns US Department of Commerce Ruling, No Anti-Dumping or Countervailing Duties on Active Anode Material Imported from China] On March 12 local time, the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) issued a statement declaring that active anode material imported from China has not caused material obstruction to the establishment of related industries in the United States. The statement noted that based on the Commission's negative determination, the US Department of Commerce will not impose anti-dumping or countervailing duties on such Chinese imports. Previously, on February 11, the US Department of Commerce announced a final affirmative anti-dumping determination on active anode material imported from China, ruling that the dumping margin for Chinese producers/exporters applying for a separate rate was 93.50%, and the nationwide rate for China was 102.72%. At the same time, it issued a final affirmative countervailing determination, ruling that the subsidy rates for the Chinese products involved were between 66.82% and 66.86%.
