Two Nvidia executives join AI investment firm Era Golden Finance reports that two executives from Nvidia (NVDA. O) have left the company to join a young financial company representing the world's wealthiest families investing in artificial intelligence. Geoffrey Levene, former Global Artificial Intelligence Program Director at NVIDIA, and Max Cohen, North American Cloud Business Director, have both joined Era, a New York based investment firm. Era is led by 30-year-old investor Jasper Lau and primarily focuses on venture capital, while also providing a range of other financial services to clients and invested companies. According to informed sources, Era is currently raising $250 million in funding, and the company has received $140 million in oversubscribed funds. Era did not raise funds from more traditional sources of venture capital such as pension funds, but instead raised funds from a group of wealthy families, some of whom are related to powerful business figures with vested interests in global data center construction. Era also plans to work closely with Nvidia, which has assisted the company in determining the priority AI market and investment strategy for its latest fund. According to Era, Huang Renxun had previously helped persuade some wealthy families to adopt AI technology in their operations and support infrastructure construction, including encouraging them to invest in Era.
