When opening a position, you dream of a rocket, but what you get is a weaving machine. Logging a record of a two-order $ETH long position. The expected 'buy and break even' did happen, but what followed was a narrow consolidation after the breakout. This is not the type I like! Watching the price neither go up nor down is more frustrating than taking a direct stop-loss. Even though the direction might be right, the time cost tells me it's time to exit. In the end, I chose to close the position at break-even. This isn’t a loss, but it’s not a profit either. It’s a stop-loss on time cost. A breakthrough in trading isn’t just about price; it’s also about mastering your own rhythm. The market won’t speed up for you, but you can choose not to sit out.
