[Basketball.fun Offers Refund Functionality to Users, NBA Star Tristan Thompson Steps Down from Advisory Role] According to Deep Tide TechFlow on March 11, as reported by Decrypt, the NBA-themed crypto project Basketball.fun is processing refund requests for users unwilling to wait for the market trading feature to go live. The project, developed by the team Improbable behind the Layer 1 network Somnia, allows users to purchase digital card packs of NBA players and hold 'shares' of players, but the trading feature has not yet been launched. NBA player Tristan Thompson has stepped down from his advisory role in the project. The project's co-founder and CEO, Hadi Teherany, stated that 24 refund requests have been received so far, totaling less than $2,000. The project plans to launch the trading feature in April, coinciding with the start of the NBA playoffs, and will offer a 10% purchase bonus to users willing to wait. Basketball.fun also plans to launch digital card pack sales on the Base network later this month and officially activate the trading feature on Somnia. The project team has denied allegations of a 'rug pull,' emphasizing that this is merely the pre-sale phase and that users will be able to sell their held card packs once the product goes live.
