I’ve always believed that if a project completes its token sale but can’t launch the token due to market reasons, issuing refunds is the bare minimum a project team should do. But the reality is, the vast majority of project teams refuse to act decently.
This time, the project team choosing not to act decently is @genome_protocol. Their token sale + NFT sale together raked in $600,000 in rug revenue (calculated at the ETH price at the time, the actual rug revenue reached $1 million or even more).
What’s even more ironic is that 10 months ago, Genome founder @JasoNFT_ was still posting on LinkedIn, talking big, writing passionately, and dismissing others like they were nothing.
No personal stake here, just utterly disgusted.
