A bill in the House that's headed for President Trump next week. Members will vote on Senate-passed compromise legislation to reauthorize federal funding for small businesses to develop new technologies, which lapsed over 5 months ago on Sept 30th, for 5 more years. The bipartisan bill brokered by Small Business Chair Ernst & Ranking Member Markey would extend the federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) & Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs until Sept. 30, 2031. The bill, which passed by unanimous consent in the Senate March 3rd, will be considered in the House as early as Monday & will need 2/3rds vote for passage.(Craig Caplan)
