[U.S. Energy Secretary Claims U.S. Military Escorted Oil Tanker Through Strait of Hormuz, Deletes Post Minutes Later]
Odaily Planet Daily News - A source stated that the U.S. Navy has not escorted any oil tanker through the Strait of Hormuz. Previously, U.S. Energy Secretary Wright had posted a message claiming that naval forces had escorted an oil tanker through this tense waterway, but later deleted the post. 'The U.S. Navy successfully escorted an oil tanker through the Strait of Hormuz, ensuring the continued flow of oil to global markets,' Wright wrote on X, but provided no further details. Minutes later, the post was deleted. Last week, Trump first proposed the idea of naval escorts, and on Monday, he expressed hope that naval escorts would not be necessary. Additionally, Iran refuted Wright's claim, with a spokesperson for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard stating, 'Any actions by the U.S. fleet and its allies will be stopped within the range of our missiles and drones. During wartime, no U.S. ship dares to approach the Gulf of Oman, the Persian Gulf, or the Strait of Hormuz.'
