[Iranian Ambassador to China: Promoting the Easing of the Current Situation and Political Resolution Through a 'Three-Step Approach'] According to a report by Global Times cited by Jinshi, Iranian Ambassador to China Fazeli held a press conference in Beijing on the 9th to elaborate on Iran's stance regarding the current crisis and diplomatic policy direction. Ambassador Fazeli stated that under the leadership of the newly appointed Supreme Leader, Iran advocates adhering to the 'three-step approach' proposed by senior Iranian officials during discussions to promote the easing of the current situation and achieve a political resolution. The first step is to end the war and achieve a ceasefire. The party initiating the war should take the lead in stopping it. Actions must be taken to compel the United States and Israel to immediately cease all military attacks. The second step is to return to the negotiation table. However, since we no longer trust the United States, this step is difficult to achieve and almost impossible to realize unless major world powers and the United Nations Security Council intervene in the negotiations, play an active role, and provide binding and inviolable guarantees to ensure that no acts of aggression occur during the dialogue. Additionally, a lasting and reliable mechanism must be established to safeguard the outcomes of the negotiations. The third step is for all nations to unite and collaborate to resist unilateralism and promote the development of multilateralism. 'On the basis of full respect and implementation of the above principles, we are willing to resume relevant dialogues.'
