[Cboe Plans to Launch Mini-SPX Prediction Market Framework in Q2 2026, Supporting Three Types of Payout Outcomes] Foresight News reports that the Chicago Board Options Exchange (Cboe Global Markets) is introducing a prediction market framework. Unlike the traditional binary payout structure of 'yes or no,' this framework incorporates a three-dimensional payout model, including $0 payout, 'partial payout' within a specific range, and $100 full payout. This allows traders to profit even if their directional prediction is correct but does not precisely hit the target. Cboe plans to launch the first related product—the Mini S&P 500 Index (Mini-SPX) prediction market contract—on the Cboe Options Exchange in the second quarter of 2026. The product will adopt a securitized format, be centrally cleared by the OCC, and settle in cash. Cboe stated that the contract mechanism is similar to the vertical spread strategy in options, aiming to provide retail traders with a tool that is risk-defined and more flexible.
