[U.S. Think Tank Estimates: U.S. War Against Iran Costs Nearly $900 Million Per Day]
According to a report by Golden Finance, a Washington, D.C.-based think tank analyzed information released by the Pentagon regarding targeted strikes and the assets used in operations, concluding that this war costs approximately $891.4 million per day. The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) predicts that as the U.S. shifts to using 'cheaper ammunition' and Iran reduces the number of drones and missiles it launches, the cost of the war will decrease. CSIS added in its report: 'However, future costs will largely depend on the intensity of operations and the effectiveness of Iran's counterattacks.'
CSIS's analysis shows that air, naval, and ground operations will be the largest expenditure categories. Air operations are estimated to cost $30 million per day, naval operations approximately $15 million per day, and ground operations $1.6 million per day.
According to CSIS statistics, the first 100 hours of this war cost $3.7 billion. (Reference News)
