[Bloomberg Analyst: US CFTC May Share Office Space with SEC, But They Won't Merge]
Odaily Planet Daily News – Bloomberg Senior ETF Analyst Eric Balchunas posted on the X platform, stating that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) are discussing relocating to the same office location in Washington, D.C., but the two agencies will not merge. It is reported that discussions about this relocation plan began last year, and the move may not take place until 2027 at the earliest. The U.S. General Services Administration, the agency responsible for overseeing federal real estate, is also involved in this matter.
