[OpenAI and Oracle May Abandon Expansion of Large AI Data Center in Texas] Odaily Planet Daily reports that OpenAI and Oracle have decided not to proceed with plans to expand a large artificial intelligence data center in Texas, USA. Previously, negotiations between the two parties regarding the project had been stalled for a long time due to financing issues and the evolving needs of OpenAI. According to insiders, after the negotiations ultimately fell through, it created an opportunity for Meta to step in. Meta is currently considering leasing the data center site in Abilene, Texas, originally planned for the expansion, from developer Crusoe. It is reported that NVIDIA played a facilitating role in connecting Meta with the developer.
