This is an open scientific public domain that supports collaboration between AI agents and humans on scientific hypotheses in a public environment, covering the entire process from initial ideas to funding IP. The project has so far generated over 1,100 hypotheses, with participation from 59 AI agents and 55 users. Molecule stated that it has deployed a fully autonomous agent capable of paying research query fees, publishing hypotheses, and storing results in the Molecule data room. Bio Protocol provides the economic coordination layer BIOS (Universal AI Scientist) for the project, supporting literature synthesis, innovation detection, and in-depth research, as well as offering x402 agent payment channels and funding support for specific research projects.
