When it comes to anything in life, whether investing in financial markets, analyzing geopolitical conflicts like the war in Iran, dealing with tariff disputes, or evaluating elections, you need to approach the situation with an unbiased perspective. Most people don’t do that. Instead, they convince themselves that the outcome they want to happen is the one that will happen, rather than judging what’s most likely based on the actual evidence. And the word evidence matters, because in most situations there are competing narratives, and a lot of propaganda designed to pull people toward one side or the other. If you have the discipline to think critically, do your own research, and separate credible information from noise or manipulation, you already have a major advantage over the sheep who blindly follow the narrative they’re fed. Wishful thinking is useless in the real world. If you want to understand what’s actually happening, you have to step outside your own biases and look at situations the way an objective observer would.(Jacob King)
