[CleanSpark Sells 97% of February Bitcoin Production to Fund AI Transition]
According to CoinDesk, Bitcoin mining company CleanSpark released its February operational update, reporting a production of 568 Bitcoins for the month while selling 553 of them, representing a sales ratio as high as 97%, one of the highest production sales ratios reported by the company. At an average price of $66,279, the sales generated approximately $36.65 million in cash. The sale aims to fund its expansion into AI and high-performance computing data centers.
As of February 28, CleanSpark still holds 13,363 Bitcoins, of which 1,086 are pledged as collateral or related to accounts receivable from derivative transactions. The company's operational hash rate reached 50 EH/s, accounting for about 7% of the global total hash rate, and it added 300 MW of capacity in Texas, bringing its total contracted power to 1.8 GW.
