Spoke with European Council President António Costa @eucopresident. We discussed EU support for Ukraine, including continued financing, progress on the 20th sanctions package against Russia, and Ukraine’s path to EU membership by 2030. We also covered the situation in the Middle East and the importance of EU coordination to ensure citizens’ safety and evacuation. I highlighted that Russia remains a long-term threat and welcomed initiatives such as the Eastern Flank Watch and the Drone Defense to strengthen the Eastern Flank’s security.(Gitanas Nausėda)
