OpenAI Open Sources Symphony Framework to Enable Autonomous AI Agent Project Workflow Management

OpenAI has open-sourced the Symphony (engineering preview) framework on GitHub, aiming to transform project tasks into automated execution workflows. This framework can monitor task boards like Linear in real-time and generate AI agents to complete coding, CI testing, code reviews, and other processes as needed, ultimately enabling the secure merging of Pull Requests. Currently, the project is in the engineering preview stage and is released under the Apache 2.0 license. The core of Symphony is written in the Elixir language and provides a complete specification to support multi-language implementations. Its goal is to shift developers' focus from supervising AI agents to higher-level task management.
