Major discovery these past two days: a few ghost chains that nobody uses—certain z, certain s, certain t—suddenly saw a massive spike in on-chain activity. The gas tokens for these ghost chains had already dropped dozens of times in value, basically worthless. Since they’re ghost chains, naturally almost no one in the market pays attention to them. Even when some data monitoring sites exposed this, nobody really cared. But when a blockchain with only a handful of daily active users suddenly sees its funds skyrocket from a few thousand or tens of thousands of dollars to tens of millions of dollars, it’s hard not to get suspicious. So I dug a little deeper, and wow. Even with bridges and privacy protections, the funds moving through these ghost chains all ended up on Polymarket, Solana, and Base in meme tokens. Looks like the teams behind these chains have started collaborating with money launderers to pump memes. Interesting, interesting.
