[On-chain data shows a suspected whale accumulation of CHZ before the World Cup, with CEX reserves dropping to 13% of net circulation]
BlockBeats news, on March 4, TKResearch Trading cited Nansen data on social media, indicating that on-chain activity before the World Cup (June) suggests a possible attempt to control CHZ supply.
Data shows that the current total circulating supply of CHZ is 10.15 billion tokens, with 5.63 billion stored in Chiliz wallets and cross-chain bridges, 1.37 billion still held on exchanges, and an actual net circulating supply of approximately 3.15 billion tokens.
Since December 11, a net total of 150 million CHZ has flowed out of exchanges (dropping from 1.52 billion to 1.37 billion). Nine newly created addresses collectively purchased 384 million CHZ from Coinbase between December 11 and 14, at an average price of $0.033. Subsequently, the price of CHZ doubled to $0.06, but these addresses did not sell during the price increase. Instead, they continued to accumulate approximately 100 million more tokens. Currently, these large holders collectively own 384 million CHZ, accounting for 28% of total exchange reserves and 13% of the net circulating supply.
