[Anthropic Launches Voice Mode Feature for Claude Code]
Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on March 4, Anthropic announced the launch of a Voice Mode feature for its AI programming assistant, Claude Code, allowing developers to perform hands-free programming operations via voice commands. The feature is currently being rolled out gradually, with approximately 5% of users already having access, and it is expected to expand its coverage in the coming weeks. Users can enable Voice Mode by simply entering the "/voice" command and then issue voice instructions such as 'refactor authentication middleware,' which Claude Code will execute accordingly.
According to Anthropic's February report, Claude Code's operating revenue has exceeded $2.5 billion, more than doubling since early 2026, with weekly active users also doubling since January. Additionally, after the company refused to allow the Department of Defense to use its AI for domestic surveillance or autonomous weapons, the user growth of the Claude mobile app surged significantly, at one point surpassing ChatGPT to claim the top spot on the U.S. App Store rankings.
