Vitalik: If the developers disappear, can your app still work? On January 27, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin introduced the 'Walkaway Test' during the ETH ChiangMai togETHer Tuesday event to evaluate whether decentralized applications truly possess resistance to centralization dependency. Ideally, even if developers or servers suddenly vanish, users should still be able to continue using the app. Vitalik believes that while blockchain itself is trustless, many applications still follow Web2 architecture, relying on centralized logins and servers.
