[White Hat Hacker Helps Foom Cash Recover $1.84 Million in Stolen Funds]
The decentralized anonymous lottery protocol Foom Cash was attacked due to a configuration issue with the Groth16 verifier, resulting in a loss of approximately $2.26 million. White hat hacker Duha identified the vulnerability and protected funds on the Base chain, while security firm Decurity was responsible for the recovery of Ethereum funds. A total of $1.84 million (about 81% of the stolen funds) was recovered. Foom Cash paid Duha a bounty of $320,000 and Decurity a security fee of $100,000.
