Naval is such a badass. While the Silicon Valley elites are busy weaving the tech myth of 'AI Agents replacing human labor' to sustain the AI Ponzi cycle ♻️, he dares to voice a rational opinion: 'AI Agents won’t replace programmers.' Whether it’s code written by VibeCoding or by traditional heritage programming methods, as long as it creates killer apps, it’s good code. In reality, when code written by VibeCoding is deployed in actual production environments, it still needs to go through the human workflow of traditional heritage programming for another round. This involves a lot of time spent on reviews and rework, plus battling against the probabilistic nature, hallucinations, and laziness of large models. Actually, there have already been plenty of academic papers pointing out that the current impact of AI on productivity is very limited and even harms the cognitive abilities of those who overuse it.
