[Paul Chan: Hong Kong has no plans to withdraw from the Exchange Fund again within five years]
Foresight News reports, according to the South China Morning Post, Hong Kong Financial Secretary Paul Chan stated that Hong Kong has no plans to withdraw funds from the Exchange Fund again within the next five years. Previously, it was disclosed that Hong Kong would transfer HK$150 billion (US$19 billion) from the Exchange Fund, sparking concerns about Hong Kong's financial stability. Paul Chan said that such measures will not appear in the medium-term forecast and that there is no intention to make withdrawals a 'routine practice.'
