[Former Iranian President Ahmadinejad's Close Associate Claims He Is Safe] According to a report by Jinse Finance, citing Turkish Anadolu Agency and other media outlets, the March 1 news reported by Iranian media about 'former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad being assassinated' is untrue. The report states that a close associate of Ahmadinejad, who wished to remain anonymous, said: 'I am in contact with him, and he is safe and sound. Yesterday (February 28), a building related to his security personnel was attacked. Three of his bodyguards—all members of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps—have been confirmed dead. However, his residence was not affected, as it is about 100 meters away from the targeted building and was not the attack's target.' Previously, some Iranian media reported that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who served as Iran's president from 2005 to 2013, was killed in airstrikes by Israel and the United States. However, the Iranian media that reported this news has since stated that the information has not been confirmed. (CCTV International News)
