X’s new ad rules (stricter paid partnership & disclosure requirements) are directly competing with vertical KOLs for revenue. If rigidly enforced, it will push niche creators to migrate their fans to private channels like Telegram for monetization. Vertical KOLs are the core asset of any content platform — high-quality, engaged communities keep X valuable and alive. Driving them away long-term will severely damage content quality and user retention. It’s a lose-lose move. X champions free speech, yet restricting how creators monetize their own audience is deeply ironic and self-defeating. Please reconsider before more vertical creators are forced off-platform.
