Michael Saylor: The biggest drawback of Bitcoin is the lack of time-tested proof
MicroStrategy co-founder Michael Saylor said in an interview with Natalie Brunell on February 24 that the core skepticism about Bitcoin in the current market isn’t about its technology or economic model, but about time—Bitcoin has only existed for 17 years, which is still a relatively short history. Many investors want to see validation over a longer period before making long-term bets.
He used electricity, airplanes, and cars as examples, pointing out that major technological innovations often take decades to gain widespread acceptance. Saylor believes Bitcoin is in a commercialization transition phase, and the key to its ultimate acceptance lies in time, not short-term price fluctuations.
