Many people think this crash is because of the war or some breaking news.
But if you’ve been in the blockchain space long enough, you’ll realize that during every extreme market move, the real killer isn’t the drop itself—it’s the ‘uncertainty.’
You don’t know if exchanges will lag.
You don’t know if stablecoins will depeg.
And you don’t know if the assets behind your holdings are truly backed by reserves.
The essence of panic has never been about losing money—it’s about losing the basis for judgment.
That’s why I’ve started to re-evaluate USD1.
What it offers the market isn’t just ‘stability,’ but a kind of certainty that can be verified anytime.
In the past, stablecoins were more like black boxes:
You believed they had reserves because they said so.
You believed they were safe because they published reports.
But reports are always retrospective, while risks happen in real time.
USD1 has completely flipped this logic.
Key data like reserve size, supply, and collateralization ratio are all directly on-chain, available for anyone to check in real time.
This means you no longer need to ‘trust someone.’
You just need to verify for yourself.
When the market crashes, most asset prices fluctuate wildly,
but what’s truly scarce is ‘verifiable security.’
Prices can rebound, or they can keep dropping.
But once transparency is established, it doesn’t disappear.
So in a way, the value of USD1 isn’t about whether it goes up or down,
but about how it lets you know exactly where you stand, even in the most chaotic times.
