Looks like ChatGPT's OpenAI has officially joined Team USA! The company just signed an agreement with the U.S. Department of Defense to deploy its AI models into classified military systems.
This means the U.S. military can now use their ChatGPT AI models within their confidential networks.
But there are conditions: the military cannot use this technology for large-scale domestic surveillance, and any use of force must be decided by humans (not AI).
This announcement came right after OpenAI revealed last night that it completed a $110 billion funding round, with Amazon, NVIDIA, and SoftBank participating in the investment.
