Is AI and Crypto mutually necessary, or are they simply narrative replacements?
The biggest intersection should be in the autonomous economic activities of AI agents.
If we expect future agents to be able to make payments and even participate in financial activities on their own, then Crypto is the most suitable infrastructure:
-Completely digital native
-No permission required
-AI autonomously reads and writes smart contract signature transactions
-Payment can be completed in a few seconds without anyone's approval
The agent has no identity, no passport, and cannot go to the bank for KYC and open the same card on their own.
For example, my agent is running a large task and discovers in the middle of the night that it needs to immediately purchase additional computing power, rent more GPUs, cloud servers, and training resources to complete more complex tasks. In an ideal state, it should be able to complete payments autonomously and complete them within seconds.
Of course, many people now say that agents can use human accounts, but the limitations here are obvious. If agents have to bind to a human subject to act in the future, their imagination will be greatly reduced. The concept of autonomous agents no longer exists.
If AI is to engage in large-scale autonomous transactions (buying computing power, data, services, and even mutual payments) in the future, only Crypto can provide services for this possibility.
