Amy Oldenburg, Head of Digital Asset Strategy at Morgan Stanley, stated at the Bitcoin for Corporations conference in Las Vegas that the company plans to develop its own Bitcoin custody and trading services, as well as explore yield and lending functionalities, saying, 'We will absolutely do this; it’s a natural part of the roadmap.' Oldenburg emphasized the need to build the technology in-house to ensure 'zero errors' and to meet clients' trust in the Morgan Stanley brand. She noted that clients' crypto asset holdings are 'quite substantial,' though some prefer self-custody. Previously, the company had registered Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana funds with the SEC and plans to offer BTC, ETH, and SOL trading through the E*Trade app. (Decrypt)
