[From the New Fiscal Year in the UK, Crypto ETNs Cannot Be Included in Mainstream ISA Tax-Free Accounts]
According to a report by Golden Finance, starting from April 6 in the new fiscal year, UK investors will no longer be able to add crypto ETNs to 'Stocks and Shares ISA' tax-free accounts. The UK tax authority, HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC), has classified them solely as assets eligible for 'Innovative Finance ISA,' and currently, no platforms plan to support related products. Investors who already hold crypto ETNs are not required to sell them. HMRC stated that, given their innovative nature and the early stage of the market, it will continue to evaluate whether to adjust its policies in the future.
