The oracle was mistakenly set to use the BTC/USD price feed to price USDC. Exploiting this error, the attacker managed to borrow 187 ETH by collateralizing just 8 USDC. The attack occurred in the block immediately following the transaction confirming the misconfiguration, indicating that the attacker closely monitored the configuration changes and acted swiftly.
