[Ploutus Protocol Oracle Configuration Error Causes Pool Loss of Approximately $390,000]
According to BlockSec, the liquidity pool (0xD060…945D2) of the Ploutus protocol on Ethereum was attacked due to an oracle configuration error, resulting in a loss of approximately $390,000. The pool mistakenly bound the USDC price to Chainlink's BTC/USD feed, leading to a severe price deviation. Exploiting this error, the attacker was able to borrow 187 ETH by collateralizing only 8 USDC. Blockchain data shows that the attack transaction occurred in the block immediately following the confirmation of the configuration change, indicating that the attacker closely monitored and took advantage of the update.
