[Multi-Chip AI Computing Power Scheduling Platform Callosum Secures $10.25 Million in Funding, Led by Plural]
According to Fortune, London-based startup Callosum announced it has secured $10.25 million in funding, led by Plural, with ARIA providing research and development grants. The company was founded by two Cambridge neuroscience PhDs and develops software to schedule AI workloads across different chips, including Nvidia, AMD, AWS Trainium/Inferentia, as well as Cerebras and SambaNova, focusing on multi-cloud and multi-chip collaboration. Callosum claims its system can achieve approximately 2x accuracy, 7x speed, and 4x cost reduction compared to single-hardware solutions in complex enterprise tasks. The company is also collaborating with data center infrastructure providers, such as those developing new photonic interconnects, and plans to expand into the U.S. market while building some of its own hardware infrastructure.
