South Korean man charged with attempted poisoning and murder of business partner due to failed cryptocurrency investment According to DL News, South Korean prosecutors have accused a 39 year old man of attempting to poison his business partners with highly toxic pesticides after a secret cryptocurrency investment of approximately $810000 failed. The two have been working together to operate a Bitcoin investment project and co founded a company since 2022, but a conflict arose due to the suspect's unauthorized use of company funds. The prosecutor claimed that the suspect planned to commit murder in order to monopolize control of the company. In October last year, he purchased about $200 worth of banned pesticide formamide from an online seller and added it to an iced latte at a Seoul caf é, handing it over to the victim. The victim fell unconscious after drinking and needed to rely on a ventilator to sustain their life. It took three days for them to regain consciousness. The suspect has been charged with attempted murder and violation of the Pesticide Management Law, and the case will be heard in court on March 10th.
