The conclusions are pretty clear for everyone:
1. The number of Alpha users has been halved from over 300,000 in December to just over 100,000.
2. Whether you look at the frequency of daily Alpha activity or the number of new projects, there’s been a steep decline compared to before.
3. At least until the end of the year, the gap period hasn’t been resolved, leading to the emergence of 'blind box' Alpha rules.
So, where is Alpha headed next?
Personally, I think it depends on the situation after the new year and how new projects roll out. For now, Alpha still holds considerable appeal for many smaller project teams.
Should you join now?
In my opinion, if you’re not short on gas fees and don’t have too many accounts, it’s okay to join. For studios, though, since they have to bear equipment costs, labor costs, and profit-sharing, I still wouldn’t recommend it.
